Bale collector following baling machine - guides successive pairs of bales on alternate sides, then releases eight bales

The bale collector has bales formed in a baler passed to the bottom of an inclined guideway (6/ up which they are pushed by succeeding bales onto a second guideway (21). The first bale raises a flap (49) which locks in its up position. The second bale pushes the first rearwardly to operate a pedal (50), unlocking the flap (49) and freeing side guides (7, 8) to swing outwardly. Depending on whether a handle (17) is pivoted towards (7) or (8) the bales will pivot on it towards the opposite side and fall to bar (32). This pivots outwardly unlocking handle (17) which pivots to the other side and locks there. Guides (7, 8) are reset and the next two bales collect on the other side. When four bales are collected on each side they are released simultaneously by lowering flaps on which they rest.
