A vibrating wire with a stressed wire in a housing connected to a test object is designed not to require fixing posts, carrier blocks, or guide plates. It may be assembled in between five and ten minutes using simple rapid tack welding. A metal tube is welded along one entire side to an oblong metal base plate. The vibration wire passes through the tube coaxially without touching it and is clamped at either end where the tube ends are constricted. The constriction of the tube is performed with the wire of the correct tension.
