The convector has a heat exchanger (1) formed from a combination of electric heaters and metal plates. Several resistance elements (6) run horizontally across the exchanger. They traverse vertical metal plates (5) which are perpendicular to the elements. The plates leave air passages between them. Each plate has horizontal fins (7) near its top to deflect the air flow and a vertical plate perpendicular to it on its front. Two rectangular boxes (2) at the sides of the heat exchanger contain the electrical connections. One of them also contains the thermostatic controls (4) and manual switches (20). A backplate which screws to the wall contains sockets which accept plugs in the side boxes.
