Cutter-crusher for vine shoots - severs shoots by reciprocating cutter and shoots pass through further cutters and crusher teeth

The apparatus has a drawbar and a pair of wheels whereby it is drawn along by a tractor. The wheels are articulated to the chassis via a jack enabling the height of the cutter above ground to be varied. Lying plants are raised by members (11) and the shoots are cut by blade (6) which is reciprocated by a link and belt and pulley drive (7, 8, 9), power coming from the tractor power take-off via shaft (24) and gearbox (10). A cutter (12) and crushers (13) are also driven by belts and pulleys, cut shoots being fed between teeth (14) at the rear. Further cutters and deleafing apparatus is provided in rear.
