Liquid filled channels for trapping solar energy - where channels are mounted side by side to form hemispherical array

Pyramid section channels filled with liquid are used to trap solar radiation on the large face and focus it on the smaller face of the section. Channels are mounted side by side to form a hemispherical array aligned to absorb radiation successively during different periods of the day. The channel walls are of glass, the liquid water or an alcohol. The included angle of the channels is 30 degrees-40 degrees, so that fire may be assembled to provide 180 degrees coverage. The liquid is a simpler, cheaper absorbant than complex multilayer traps.
