摘要
The hull for a seagoing high speed craft, esp. for Froude numbers between 0.5 and 1.0, is intended to be partially planing. Frames near the bows are steeply inclined to the horizontal, and the inclination of the submerging part decreases roughly linearly over the forward two thirds of the length, or further. With a total of ten frames, the decrease is between 8 deg. and 13 deg. per frame. Within the after third of the length, the min. value of inclination of the submerged part becomes first zero and then negative. It can then either remain steady or rise again to zero at the stern. The inversion point moves progressively further aft as waterline length (L) increases.
