Low friction, esp. nylon pads for supporting chain hoist drag links - for low track loading, running noise and maintenance downtime

The links in twin drag chains to be used to draw a series of pendant pans around a loop path are fitted with blocks of low friction material (nylon) to provide sliding support on static axle guide tracks. The blocks provide a larger supporting area than conventional wheels, are simpler to construct, quicker in use and may be changed without dismantling the chain. Specifically, rectangular blocks open on one edge with a parallel sides channel leading to a circular recess having proud lips are used. The upper and lower edges of each pad may be used successively before replacement. Suitable for tray hoists (paternosters) for conveying e.g. food between different rooms or floors.
