The chain track running gear has a chain wheel (10) in disc form and with a cylindrical roll surface (11) with radially protruding teeth (12) located along its center line. The chain links (31) have a support surface (32) extending in the chain's running direction and upon which the chain wheel can roll by its roll surface. The chain links have recesses (33) in the support surface for engagement with the teeth, whereby contact is made with a contact wall of the recess lying perpendicularly to the chain's running direction.
