1519015 Apparatus for observing the imprint on a moving web WINDMOLLER & HOLSCHER 16 Sept 1975 38026/75 Heading H4F Apparatus for observing the imprint on a moving web 4 printed in a rotary printing press 1, comprises a television camera 6 adapted to record individual images, a manually actuable flashlight 7 of which the light flash is synchronized to the scanning frequency of the camera, image storing means 10 for individual recorded images and an image reproducing device 11. The flashlight is controlled in synchronism with the printing press by a control device 8 connected to a shaft of the press so that the light flash is given off in the same phase as the sequence of imprints on the web. When an image is to be observed, button 12 is pressed to actuate the flashlight. The camera is preceded by a lens system 9 having an adjustable depth of focus, and is mounted for pivotal movement to all sides.
