PURPOSE:Desulfurized slag and blast furnace slag are mixed and made into glassy mixture. The process prevents flow out of Na2+, S2-, etc., and facilitates their handling. CONSTITUTION:Immediately after tapping, molten blast furnace slag A is transferred into the pit 2 installed midway the spout 1. Above the pit 2, the hopper 3 is installed, from which powdered desulfurized slag 4 is supplied to the molten slag A through the fixed quantity feeder 5. Both slag are uniformly mixed in the pit 2, and the mixture B is then introduced into cooling and solidifying device such as water crusher, where the mixture B is made into a glassy state mixed slag. If this process is to be effective, the amount of blast furnace slag A must be 5% or greater in the mixture B.
