ROLLING TRANSFER DEVICE FOR REVOLUTION BODY SUCH AS STEEL PIPE

PURPOSE:To minimize the rolling collision sound of steel pipes by slackening beltlike steel sheets to form protuberances on the slant rolling tables, fixing the ends of the sheets, and transfering the protuberances. CONSTITUTION:When a steel pipe T is kicked up to the upper ends of rolling tables 1 by a feed device 7, the pipe T presses limit switches 4 which then operate to raise movable elements of kickers 5 so that the protuberances of steel sheets are transfered to the upper ends of the rolling tables 1. when the movable elements of the kickers 5 fall, the pipe T rolls down the table 1 due to its own weight and the protuberances also proceed following to the movement of the pipe T. Near the lower ends of the tables 1, the pipe T is dampingly stopped by the protuberances so that it cannot collide with the preceeding steel pipe T' and that collision sound will not occur.
