MACHINE FOR AUTOMATICALLY CLEANING UP INSIDE SURFACE OF STEEL PIPE

PURPOSE:To efficiently clean up the inside surface of steel pipe, by providing a plurality of link-type expansion supports around the machine and attaching wheels to the outer ends of the supports and installing an air ejection nozzle to eject air downward to the inside surface of the pipe. CONSTITUTION:When the inner diameter of the cleaned steel pipe 9 changes, the center line of the cleaning machine 3 is automatically positioned on that of the steel pipe 9 and the machine 3 is kept stable in a fixed position simply by simutaneously expanding the link-type expansion supports 4. The machine 3 ejects the air downward to the inside surface of the steel pipe 9 so that spatters, slag, rust, scales, etc. scraped off by a grinder from the inside surface of the pipe 9 are easily blown away. Namely, it is not necessary to separately prepare trucks exclusive for the respective diameters of steel pipes. The machine can be easily and quickly adjusted to the difference in the inner diameter of the steel pipe. The machine is made compact and light. Thereby, the operation of the machine is facilitated.
