A reactive dye is of the formula IMAGE wherein X is hydrogen, halogen, sulfo, carboxyl, sulfo-methyl, cyano or carbamoyl, each of R1 and R2 independently is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl, and Z is a sulfonaphthylamino group, and the benzene radical can contain further substituents.
