摘要

Moving echs of vehicles such as tanks are simulated for ground surveillance radar to permit training in recognition and to permit engagement of artillery. Fixed object echos received by antenna are converted into moving echos by generation of time pulses synchronised to radar pulses received by an antenna which are passed via microwave coupler to detector diode. Fixed echos are amplified to modulate carrier frequency. A tape machine contains tape recording of Doppler signal to be simulated and is connected to modulator via control circuit. This permits modulation by recorded signal only when timing waveform is present.
