We claim: 1. A device for cutting sugar cane for preparing the same for use in sugar industry comprising a set of blades or knives mounted on a shaft to rotate therewith, a hood enclosing the said set of blades and an inclined carrier below the set of blades characterised by that a plurality of stationary striking blades or knives are fitted to the said hood, said striking knives projecting upwardly towards the said set of blades mounted on the shaft.
