The pipe line pig has a body the length of which is equal to or = the centre line, and its (1) body (3) is formed from one piece of solid flexible material. The body (3) is hollow and cylindrical, and its foremost outer end is closed by a base piece (4). Its cylindrical wall (5) has at least one outer rib (6). The cavity (7) in the cylindrical body (3) tapers conically in the direction of the base piece (4), and at least one rib (6) has a sawtooth-shaped cross section. The conicity of the cavity (7) is relatively small over a part of its length, but is greater close to the base piece (4).
