Appts. for bundling of cut flowers involves a transport unit which has compartments to accommodate the blooms in the required quantity to form a bunch. A tying unit (41) is located along the path of the transport unit to bind together the blooms located in the various compartments. The compartments can work in conjunction with an adjustable end wall connected via an arm with an operating control which, under the control of the transport unit, causes the wall to move outwards from the compartment on a time basis. The operating control is of the magnet type (39). A monitor (32) sends an output signal to cause the operating control to function when the requisite number of blooms is located in the compartment.
