The unit is for bunding of cut flowers and comprises a primary transport device (6) which moves along the row of flowers adjusted to cut at the required length of stem, and along a leaf removal unit which takes off leaves from the lower ends of the flowers' stems. Connected to the primary transporter is a secondary such unit (17) which has compartment to receive blooms from the primary. The secondary unit (17) releases a section of the stem of each flower (21 or 23), and the stems are bound together by a tying station (22) which is located along the path of travel of the secondary transport unit (17).
