Title cpds. and their salts, of formula (I): (one of R1 and R2 and of R3 and R4 = H, the other Me, MeO, MeS, Me2NSO2, Cl, F or CF3, n = 2 or 3, m = 0 or 1, X = S, O, NH, N (lower alkyl) or CH2, and R5 and R6 are both H or together complete a benzene ring, broken line is single or double bond). They are useful as tranquillisers and in treatment of schizophrenia and have exceptionally low toxicity. Prepd. e.g. by reacting a 10-halodibenzothiepin with an N-substd. piperazine.
