PROCEDURE FOR THE DESIGN OF A PROPOSED APPROACH IN ONE ROLE

Process for increasing the inside dia. on the end of a tube in which the tube is inserted through a die and then on to a mandrel which moves into the tube to expand it. By relative movement between die and mandrel the die is withdrawn over the mandrel and tube end, drawing the latter on to the mandrel. Used e.g. to mfr. steering column bearing by cheap process giving improved precision.
