1409108 Injection moulding UNIROYAL AG 13 Dec 1972 [23 Dec 1971 19 April 1972] 925/75 Divided out of 1409107 Heading B5A The subject matter is included in that of the parent Specification 1,409,107, but the claims relate to a method of making a flexible insulating plate to be interposed between an injection unit and a heated injection mould having a plurality of inlet apertures by impregnating heat-resistant fibres with thermosetting resin and curing the resin to form a flexible first plate; impregnating further fibres with further resin to form a second thinner plate; superposing the plates and placing them between the injection unit and mould; pressing the plates between the injection unit and mould to join them together, to partly cure the second plate, and to form impressions in the second plate corresponding to the inlet apertures of the mould; removing the composite plate so formed; and forming apertures through the apertured plate at the impressions of the second plate.
