The mandrel holder incorporates electromagnets. To give rapid connection and disconnection of the mandrel, made of non-magnetic material, it is fitted with a casing having electromagnets on the outside of it and a hole for the mandrel and a tank containing ferromagnetic liquid inside it. The electromagnets hold the mandrel in the casing during the rolling stroke, via the ferromagnetic liquid.
