ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREA simple, durable, and inexpensive educationaldevice for demonstrating pressure-volume relationship espec-ially adapted for use by educational institutions below thecollege level is described. The device comprises a chamberfor containing a gas, said chamber having openings at itsupper and lower end portions. Piston means is provided forselectively controlling the volume and pressure of the gas inthe chamber, the piston means capable of being inserted in thechamber through the opening at its upper end portion. Meansare included for sealing the lower opening in the chamber.The device also includes a base member for supporting thechamber at its lower end portion, the base member adapted tobe in releasable engagement with the chamber.
