ATTRACTANT COMPONENTS FOR MALES OF THE TOBACCO BUDWORM MOTH

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSUREcis- 9-tetradecenal and cis-11-hexadecenal havebeen synthesized and found to be, in combination, sexattractants for males of the species Heliothis virescens(Tobacco Budworm Moth) and major economic pest. Methodsof preparing said compounds and methods of utilizing saidcompounds as attracting agent are disclosed.
