Procedure for orientating differently formed bodies with delineated dielectric properties uses an electric field by which one inhomogeneous alternating field is produced. The bodies are subjected to the alternating field so that the part fields project through differently formed parts of the bodies. - The electric field strength increases towards the middle of each part field. The orientating zone is located between the ends of three wedge shaped electrodes and the bodies are delivered and taken away by a conveyor.
