The current collector is designed for use on high-speed trains. It operates with a conductor bar of the same length as the locomotive. The bar has an elastic suspension, and at the same time is isolated from the metal frame. - The collector bar contacts busbars supported by masts, and is also resiliently hung. The axial channel of the collector bar feeds compressed air towards the busbars with orifices facing towards the busbars. The number of orifices at the end of the bar is greater than in its centre to provide a cushion for running on the successive busbars.
