The final plucking implement for hop harvesting machines consists on one side of a presorting device which follows paired, counter rotating, driven pull-in rollers, which form cavities and have radially projecting strios, and on the other side of a final plucking drum and a cover with a number of plucking fingers. The peripheral speed of the final plucking drum is significantly greater than that of the pull-in rollers. The strips on the rollers are parallel to the axes of rotation and are comb-shaped, i.e. the free edges of the strips have spaced notches or intermediate recesses. The strip edges may be provided with teeth pointing in the direction opposite to the direction of rotation, i.e. obliquely backwards.
