The control equipment for reversible ac-motors with two stator windings and phase-shift capacitor in delta arrangement and with brake magnet and switching elements has the common point of the two windings connected to one supply terminal and the two winding ends with the capacitor between them via switching elements to the other ac-supply terminal. The control circuit is characterised by the winding of the brake magnet being connected with one end to the common point of the stator windings and with the other end via a current limiting resistor to the connection point of two diodes in opposing series arrangement and lying parallel to the phase-shift capacitor.
