A high quality gyrator circuit using transistor elements in a so called current mirror configuration such that very good stability and temperature independent characteristics are produced improves on existing gyrators in these respects and also exhibits better band width and freedom from direct current impedance. The basic circuit has three linked difference amplifiers each consisting of a transistor pair and supplied by eight current generator elements each of which consists of a further transistor circuit of which the details are not given. Two input and two output terminals permit two such gyrator circuits to be linked together to form the full gyrator combination. The circuit operation is described with the help of a basic equivalent circuit, and a number of slightly improved alternative forms are also described.
