A multiple stepping switch for radio and TV transmission consists of a housing open on one side, whose cover consists of a printed circuit board, in which a switching rotor is driven, provided with two gears. It is set in rotation in a selected direction by two spring loaded push-buttons through switch elements interacting with the teeth of the two gears rotating in opposite senses. The switching element consists of a driving pawl and a blocking pawl made in one piece with the corresponding push-button (6). The driving pawl engages the teeth of one gear (19, 20) when the push-button is pressed down, while the blocking pawl is, when the rotor is stationary, in constant contact with the teeth of the other gear.
