Ultrasonic plant for cleaning parts held in a vibrating work basket immersed in a bath fitted has an ultrasonic transducer and a feeder for the wash liq. The work basket is located in the bath by spring mountings, and a pulsating pump is used to feed the wash liq. into the bath, so the basket is vibrated by the flow of the wash liq. in addn. to the ultrasonic effect. The pulsating pump pref. feeds the wash liq. through nozzles so jets of liq. enter inverted cups fixed on the bottom of the work basket, thereby causing the basket to vibrate on its spring mountings. Used for degreasing and removing dirt from parts such as drawing dies; watch parts, or nipples used in the motor car industry.
