Slag ladle with separate base - of wear resistant material for longer life and ease of removal of solidified slag

The detachable base plate is attached to a conical jacket which consists of a normal haematite iron, while the base plate is of a wear-resistant material, e.g. spheroidal graphite iron. The jacket may be constructed of several parts. The wear-resistant plate gives longer life and construction allows easier removal of solidified slag in difficult situations.
