The linear sweeping machine, for cleaning tennis court marking lines made of plastic strips, or similar, has a centre pole leading off from the chassis, and a brush-wheel driven in the opposite direction to the running-wheels. Brush-wheel (11) and running-wheels (6) are mounted together on a common shaft (9). Inside rims (7) on the running-wheels can be mounted on intermediate wheels (5) which in turn roll round on the shaft, with the axles (4) of these supported by rings (3) where the centre pole starts (2). There may be a force-locked coupling between shaft, intermediate wheels and running-wheels' inside rim.
