The coding system is for a circular-track conveyor, having address brackets on the supports for the piece goods transported, and stationary addressing and decoding stations. The brackets have coding lever slides working with these stations. The slides (4) tilt alternately about two parallel vertical spindles (2, 3), the hub (5) of one extending to the level of the next one, which is arranged in a staggered pattern. There can be openings in the levers (7), accommodating the actuating rod (8) of a key for manual operation of the levers.
