The head rest mounting system for seats comprises a parallelogram lever system. A lower lever (1) is fixed to the backrest in a vertical position. An upper lever (4) is attached to the head rest and these are linked by swiveling connecting plates (2, 3). This allows the head rest to be moved from a vertical position when in use to a horizontal position when it is not. An independent claim is included for seats fitted with the system.
