Explosive practice target for airgun - simulates gun report by having detonating charge at target centre exploded by pellet

The device according to the design is for use in connection with air gun shooting practice at short distances. Its purpose is to create an acoustical simulation of shots fired by conventional ammunition. The device consists of target board (1) on which the usual target circles (1 to 9) are drawn. A detonating charge (3) such as the primer element of a small calibre cartridge is fitted in the centre of the concentric circles. When the pellet is fired by the air gun hits the centre of the target, the charge, (3) goes off creating an impression, as if actual firing would take place. The size of the detonating charge (3) is large enough to cause an audible report, even if a 'good' 8 has been scored. The charge can be attached to the board in a variety of ways.
