The hydraulic lift support has a piston rod pivoting on the underside of the platform. The upper end of the rod (1) has a vertical protruding tongue (3), on the end face of which the platform rests (4). There are two lugs (5) on the platform, on opposite sides of the tongue and clear of it, and a bolt passes through them and a bore (10) in the tongue. To allow tilting movement between bolt (6) and tongue, the bore is wider than the bolt, in the vertical direction at least. Between the lugs there can be a distance bush (7) on the bolt, extending through the bore, the intervening gap in the bore being filled by a sleeve of elastic material.
