An arrangement producing a text on a screen has an image reproduction store with cells, each corresp. to a screen character position, in which text, character, and control signals are stored. It is designed to enable rapid error-free reproduction of text with frequently used complex symbol groups such as computer programs, and to be highly flexible. It incorporates a screen text field, a character keyboard, and a selector for screen character position coordinates which are stored with the corresp. selected symbol. Selection of a text group causes signals representing the corresp. signals to be placed in the reproduction store as text signals. These are selected by accessing the corresp. symbol location in the text field.
