The hopper is for powdery or granular material, and incorporates a sivetype oscillating member (3) with drive (7) inducing a reciprocating movement with one or more movement component in its own plane. This is mounted close to one or more of the hopper walls (2a-d). The surface of the member is parallel to the wall, and where the walls converge it is near the outlet. There are two members on opposite walls and extending over nearly the whole of the respective wall surfaces, being coupled with flexible grommets passing through the walls to the drive outside. The latter is a ram with an adjustable operating frequency, loaded with a weight.
