Levelling sand in sand pit - using frame running on tracks and having prongs for working through sand

Appts. for levelling the upper surface of sand in a sand pit, e.G. a sports field, includes a frame (3) of adjustable height which is movable along tracks (5) on each side of the sand pit. The frame supports two rows of prongs (20) which point downwards into the sand in the pit. The prongs in one row are offset laterally relative to those in the other row. The height of the frame is such that the prongs penetrate into the sand sufficiently deeply for the sand to be worked through uniformly. A smoothing device is positioned on the frame in front of the prongs.
