The stabilising circuit, for supplying digital integrated circuits, has a resistor (R1) and a forward-biased diode (D) in series between the input terminals (1, 2). The diode is shunted by a resistor (R2) in series with the base/emitter junction of a transistor (T). The Zener diode (ZD) in the transistor's collector is in parallel with the load (L). The advantage lies in using few components to achieve precise stabilisation even under varying load currents. The input/output voltage difference is small.
