Computer chess game with illuminated symbol display - indicates and records moves, positions and playing times, with special procedure for keying in moves

The game consists of an 8 X 8 chess board, with pictorial indication of chess figures, and a computer. The game can indicate, record, or issue moves, a complete game, position or course of the game, and playing times. Moves may be made by touching the board itself or by pressing keys on a separate keyboard. To move a piece such as a castel from e.g. a1 to a6 on the board, the a1 position is touched or keyed in. The computer identifies the piece to be used and indicates it by a slow blinking. The symbol of the castle remains at a1. The a6 position is then keyed in to move the piece.
