Pushbutton with contact bridge comprising leaf spring - has one arm retained by moving head and other arm retained by housing

The pushbutton has its contact bridge (11) consisting of a leaf spring with two arms (12, 13) roughly perpendicular to the direction of motion of the button head (3). The contact ends (16) of the arms are fixed together while the free end (15) of one arm (12) is arrested by the pushbutton housing (2) and the free end of the other arm is retained by the moving button head. The arm retained by the button head has a recess to accept the head or part of it. The advantage lies in simplicity, cheapness and long life.
