The rectifier has diodes connected in series, combined in a constructional unit. It consists of several semiconductor elements, with tappings for external contacting of the semiconductor elements, so that a stack of semiconductor elements is produced, with the tappings connected mechanically and electrically with the semiconductor elements. There are parallel conductors which are wound off one or several reels; conductors (4) are held in a former at a distance from each other; diodes are inserted coaxially to each other between the conductors and soldered to them. The conductors are then cut off at a required length.
