Plastics foam rubber prosthesis simulating a woman's breast - has flange along base to protect the wearer's lymphatic glands

Moulded prosthesis having the shape of a female breast and made of soft-elastic, porous, adhesive plastics, has the colour of the human skin and is intended for fitting into a brassiere. It may be made of cross-linked, soft, silicone rubber. It comprises a prosthesis base portion with (a) middle portion fitting the cup of the brassiere; its convex face simulating the shape of a breast with nipple and aura whilst the concave inner surface is domed like a bosom. There is a hole in the centre of the nipple. (b) The middle portion is flanged, the flanges being narrower than the edges of the brassiere cup. The flange nearest a wearer's armpit has an extension covering the region where a wearer's lymphatic glands are situated, when the prosthesis is worn.
