The picture cassette is for photographic or printed pictures, for storage, packing, and examination. It forms a box with a wholly or partly transparent top. To allow changing of pictures during examination there is a slot parallel to the top edge in a sloping wall, at the bottom of which a further slot is formed, parallel to the first. The wall opposite to that containing the slots can either slope, or if vertical can have a number of sloping ramps on it. In the base there can be two recesses formed, each up to 50mm long and roughly the width of a finger.
