Diving system for use on ship - has chamber pulled into shaft through bottom of hull to mate with decompression chamber inlet

The diving chamber is raised through a well in the middle of the vessel to mate with decompression chambers inside the hull. The seal between the chamber and the decompression chambers is above the water level in the well. The retracted chamber enables a smooth hull shape to be obtained. No complex hoists are required to swing the diving chamber over the side of the vessel, while the above water seal is not subjected to corrosion.
