The mounting system, for a motor driving a worm gear is designed to accommodate the motor's starting torque and inertial forces. The motor's (1) rotor (15) can slide axially and is aligned w.r.t. the stator (17) by elastic components (16). The worm (3) and rotor shaft (4) are made from one piece. The shaft part is located in two roller bearings (14) in the motor casing and the worm part projects freely into the worm gear drive's casing. The elastic components are between the bearings and the rotor.
