Thermoplastics, blow-moulded, barrel or drum has a suspension loop (16) at the top fastened to a pre-fabricated inset (18) which is attached to the inside of the barrel wall. The inset is made, at least partly, of a material that allows it to be glued or welded to the barrel wall. The inset also doubles as a closure of an aperture located in the barrel wall, near the suspension loop. DETAILS The barrel is of the bung-barrel type. The inset is suitably injection-moulded from a fibre-reinforced plastics.
