Thehang glider parachute has an inner pack containing the canopy and rigging lines stowed, together with part of the distance line, in an outer pack positioned conveniently for operation of the pilot. The distance line end is secured to the glider. The inner pack is constructed to function as an air scoop and connected by its own rigging - and distance line to the crown of the canopy. When packing the parachute, these latter are placed lowest; with the canopy panel free edges uppermost.
